Tolsia High Students Participate in WV Skills USA Competition

Tolsia High students participated in the Skills USA Conference and Competitions on April15-16th. The conference was held at Camp Dawson in Kingwood WV. There were several workshops presented as well as competitions in Career-Technical fields of study. The competitions allow students to utilize their skills they have developed through Career-Technical Education. Tolsia had students participate in Welding, Carpentry, Prepared Speech, Extemporaneous Speech, Promotional Bulletin Board, and Job Demonstration Competitions.

Mr. Alvra Adams , Tolsia High Skills USA Advisor said, “It is a great opportunity for our students to compete in their chosen field as well as network with other students from around the state. The leadership elements to the Skills USA program are essential for our students’ development as well."
